SimplyPaid

Recover the small debts your business is owed

It is often too expensive to go after small debts, so you let them slide. We help you to recover the money you are owed.

The small-debt problem

Companies and close corporations cannot use Small Claims Court. Magistrate’s Court on a few hundred or a couple of thousand rand costs more in time and money than the debt itself. So the honest business owner writes it off — and the debtor learns that under a couple of thousand rand, you don’t collect.

That rule is expensive. It is also optional.

How SimplyPaid helps

  1. 1. We send your final demand

A letter in your name asking them to pay you, this week. If they pay, you keep 100%. Case closed.

  2. 2. If they don’t pay, we hand over to a collector

A collector registered with the Council for Debt Collectors collects on your behalf and retains a commission of what is recovered. Collection costs are added to the debtor’s account — not yours.

Listing costs R50 once. If they pay on the demand, you pay nothing more. If a collector recovers the debt, you receive 70c of every rand. If nothing is recovered, you pay no commission.
